Sometimes we attorneys make mistakes. Yes, you read that right. It’s rare, but I’ve made errors over the years.

And when I do, I own up to it.

In every profession, in every industry, people make mistakes. It’s so easy for other people to look back and tell you you were in the wrong.

It is always better when you realize you made an error and figure out how to handle it. It happens to everyone. Admit it, correct it, move on.

When we own up to an error, we are admitting we are human. That’s a great thing for a client to know, as they’re feeling inherently human and raw, and suddenly you’re right there with them, relatable.

Honesty goes a long way. Do the right thing. It’s never wrong.
